Meet Yoga Blogger Sara Ivanhoe

yoga-sara-ivanhoeA yoga teacher since 1995, Sara Ivanhoe began her in-depth study of yoga while receiving a BFA from New York University. She went on to complete teacher training with Erich Schiffmann, YogaWorks, and John Friend in the Anusara style and will graduate from the Yoga Philosophy Program at Loyola Marymount University in 2009.

She uses this training in her work as a contributing editor to Health, Shape, and Fit Yoga magazines. Sara is the instructor on DVDs including Yoga for Dummies, Crunch Yoga, and Russell Simmons’s Yoga Live, selling more than 4.3 million units worldwide. She is currently on Fit TV’s All Star Workouts and recently appeared on VH1’s Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew as well as the self-produced new video series Yoga on the Edge.

    I love that you’ve added Sara Ivanhoe. Although nothing beats a live yoga class, Sara’s DVDs are my most favorite.

    Dear Sara,

    My left ankle joint was lost in an automobile accident, so there is no flexibility whatsoever between foot and leg on that side. Is there any Yoga that would work for me?

    what best way can i practice yoga at home

    • Raman

      Martin wakeup early at 6 in the morning. Go to park remove your shoes do yoga for half an hour and feel the coolness. I am sure any problem you have can be cured by yoga.

    Would you to know i had never done Yoga until my wife stopped smokimg. I started by getting up with her early every morning wanting to help her to lose the weight she put on. Now i get out of bed each morning at 5:30 A.M. for me now. Thank you for your 20-Minutes Make-over. We are looking forward to other Videos you offer.

      I have lower back pain. I have been doing walking, the cat/cow for several weeks now but the lower back pain is still there. Any suggestions?

        1. For curing lower back pain do remember that you never bend forward.

        2. Never lift heavy things.

    For getting flat stomach do this:

    1. Lie down on floor facing upwards.

    2. Take your both legs in the air slowly to 90 degrees and take it back but don’t touch your feet on ground. Wait there for few seconds.

    3. Do this 5 times and you will feel very light within a week.
