Both the allopathic and alternative medicine approaches have their benefits and liabilities.

If I am in a car accident, I will definitely want to visit the emergency room for allopathic treatment.

However, once the emergency is over, acupuncture, chiropractic and massage would be my treatment(s) of choice. Forget about the drugs that the mainstream docs rely on.

And the same should apply to our kids.

Most of the alternative medical approaches are geared towards health promotion.

Our traditional allopathic approach is geared towards preventing death when something horrible has already happened. very short term thinking.
