Monday: I did my cardio this morning. I am going out of town later this week and I need to try to get most of it in before I go. I am also trying not to eat carbs at night, and to seriously cut back on them altogether. I really need to break this plateau that I am going through with my weight.
Tuesday: I met with Rich this morning for our regular workout. I think I need a massage because I keep pulling a muscle here and there, which can easily become worse if I don’t address it now. I bought this amazing crock pot a while back and decided to make some ground chicken chili stew. It’s so good and really low in fat. I love that thing. You just cut the food up and throw it in.
Wednesday: I met with Rich again this morning because I leave for Baltimore tomorrow. I was already sore from yesterday so it took me a while to get going again. I was actually dreading the workout, but that feeling didn’t last long. We are now switching between 4 sets of 10 reps one day and the next time 3 sets of 15 reps. Just when I think its getting easier, I realize it’s not. I wonder if that’s how it will be forever?
Thursday: No workout today. Instead my friend and I drove to Baltimore for a gallery opening. John and I shot two portraits for the House of Ruth, a domestic violence center that helps battered women and their children. The show is called www.alineinthesand.org. It was really nice. They passed around hors d’ouvres with lots of yummy fried food and I steered clear of them. Instead I grabbed mixed fruit and veggies and asparagus tips rolled in steak. Yum
Friday: Today I went hiking with a few friends in Patapsco State Park. It’s my old stomping grounds, so I know it like the back of my hand. Being in the city for so long, I miss nature, trees, animals, etc. I almost jumped out of my skin when I saw a frog leap in front of me. Sad! It’s really my favorite way to exercise and clear my mind. We hiked and ran for a few hours.
Saturday: I washed my car today with a hose and a sponge. I miss the simple stuff. Then, I went to a friend’s wedding and was able to fit into my Hugo Boss little black dress that I bought a few years back! Fun. I had a great time.
Sunday: I drove back to New York and that was my day!
