Surprising Uses for Vinegar: Window Cleaner

Window cleaner
Get glass gleaming with this solution from Renee Loux, author of Easy Green Living: Mix 1/4 cup white vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon liquid hand soap, and 1 3/4 cups water in a spray bottle; spritz it on surfaces, then wipe dry with newspaper or a cloth.

    Vinegar is great for cleaning lots of things but be sure that your not removing any coatings from the glass that are there to deflect UV rays. I recently bought new windows for my home and was warned not use ammonia or vinegar or I would be removing the energy efficient properties of the the glass. Soap and water may work just as well.
