Check below our list of winning on-the-go breakfasts, satisfying snacks, and more.
Breakfast
We want foods that look great, taste yummy, fit the car cup holder, and still make us feel good about ourselves. And food companies are listening to our needs … finally.” –Judge Nancy Rodriguez
Cereal
Kashi GOLEAN Crunch! Honey Almond Flax Cereal; $3.79
This new flavor of Kashi’s fiber-full cereal is packed with almonds and is “just sweet enough,” says judge Robin Miller. It boasts 9 grams of protein and 8 grams of fiber per each 200-calorie cup, plus an added dose of heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids from the flax.
Breakfast bar
Kellogg’s Smart Start Healthy Heart Bar, Cinnamon; $3.49
It’s got the same flavor as a Cinnabon, but this bar is a much healthier start to your day. Grab it on the way out the door and munch on a tasty 150 calories (add low-fat yogurt and fruit for a complete breakfast), with benefits for your heart thanks to the 350 milligrams of potassium and oat bran.

Bagel
Lender’s New York Style 100% Whole Wheat Bagels; $3.39
OK, you won’t fool a New Yorker with this bagel. But it does have a nice, chewy texture and a whole lot of nutritional merit. Each 270-calorie bagel has a stunning 10 grams of fiber (that’s more than 1/3 of your daily quota) and twice the protein of most 6-ounce yogurts.

Meatless breakfast sausage
Amy’s Kitchen Vegetarian Breakfast Patties; $4.69
Even the meat lovers on our staff said “mmm” when they tasted this yummy patty. Layer one (110 calories) on an English muffin with a slice of low-fat cheese and a poached egg for a hearty breakfast, or add to pasta sauce.

Meal-replacement bar
Kraft South Beach Diet, Caramel Peanut Crisp; $1.79
We know you try to eat a real lunch each day. But with a to-do list longer than your income tax form, sometimes something’s gotta give. This 210-calorie bar is a quick source of energy with 19 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber (and a nice array of minerals and vitamins).

Granola bar
Kellogg’s Crunchy Nut Sweet and Salty Granola Bar, Chocolatey Peanut; $3.39
If you crave the satisfaction you get from sinking your teeth into a candy bar but don’t want the requisite guilt that comes with it, meet your new best friend. This crunchy, chocolate-coated peanut bar is much better for you than hitting the vending machine.

Chips
Nabisco Wheat Thins Toasted Chips, Multi-Grain; $2.99
Wheaty, salty, and downright snackable, we loved this lighter—and bigger—multigrain version of the beloved original cracker. Munch a dozen chips for 120 calories, 5 grams of whole grains, 4 grams of fat, and 0 grams of trans fat.

I WANT TO LOSE 25 LBS -I NEED TO -I AM A MOM OF A 14 YR OLD – PLEASE HELP ME- I LIVE IN THE COUNTRY-SO I AM NOT CLOSE TO MUCH.
myra it is very simple keep it as natural as you can. there is a saying that my mother used to tell me. “If your grandmother cannot read the ingredients don’t eat it”. KEEP IT SIMPLE try spending one of your days off and do nothing but cook or bake and set yourself up for success. make large batches and break them into smaller pieces for freezing and then you can enjoy some much better food and do it all the time.
