Why do I want to reach my Feel Great Weight? I am a school nurse, a wife, a mother, and a grandmother. I want to set a better example of good health for my students, the faculty, and especially, my family. I have been overweight for about 20 years, gradually reaching a high of 286 pounds. I started working on it last September, and currently weigh 237. I hope to reach an eventual goal of less than 280. I have gone from a size 24 to a size 18…a great non-scale victory. Yesterday, I began the Couch to 5k program, in hopes or running a 5k at Walt Disney World in 2011 with friends of mine that are on this journey also. As you can see, I have many reasons to want to reach goal…the biggest reason being MYSELF!
I meant to say, my eventual goal is less than 180 pounds…OOPS! Beth
I am being motivated to reach my “feel great Weight” because I have recently decided that in this great recession we are in what is really important in life is your health and that is our true wealth. So no matter how much money you make or if you even have a job right now what matters most is good health. I’m over weight and I want to loose 50 lbs. by my 50th birthday in September. That will be a HUGE reason to celebrate (instead of cry!) Hopefully on my birthday when someone says, HAPPY BIRTHDAY it really will be one for me!(50 lbs.ago happier that is) Kimberly
