Best Lip Cream
Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Plump Perfect Lip Moisture Cream SPF 30 ($27.50)
Smooth this primer over clean lips (be sure to include the skin around your mouth), and you get antiaging benefits, sun protection, and a plumper pout. Sodium hyaluronate and glycerin help hydrate lips, a triple ceramide complex gently exfoliates, and argireline softens fine lines.
Best For: Dry, chapped lips and fine lines around the mouth
Best Moisturizer
Patricia Wexler MD Dermatology Universal Anti-Aging Moisturizer SPF 30 ($39.50)
There’s no need for three separate products; this rich facial cream packs sunscreen, moisturizer, and antiaging ingredients like matryxil and argeriline. Use it on your face and neck.
Best For: Dry or mature skin
Best Body Lotion
Vaseline Intensive Care Renewal Age Redefining Body Lotion ($3.99)
This daily body lotion has a potent mix of antiaging ingredients—collagen, proretinol, UV protection, and a hefty dose of alpha hydroxy acids—that have been proven to fight age spots, wrinkles, dryness, and dullness.
Best For: Dry or mature skin
Best Sunblock
Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock SPF 55 ($9.49)
Lots of sunscreens promise they won’t feel greasy or oily, but this one really delivers. Micronized silica powder absorbs excess sunscreen oil, so it dries almost instantly. Helioplex technology stabilizes the potent UVA ingredient avobenzone, so it lasts extra long when exposed to sunlight. And it has oxybenzone, a powerful UVB sunscreen.
Best For: All skin types
Best Foot Cream
Feet by OPI Double Coverage ($12.95)
Your feet won’t slide across the floor or feel clammy in your shoes after applying this fast-drying foot cream (thanks to its star ingredient, cotton powder). Shea butter and silicone create a silky layer without feeling tacky, while peppermint protects against odor.
Best For: Dry or callused feet
Best Eye Cream
Prescriptives Intensive Rebuilding Eye Cream ($65)
Pat this cream on clean skin twice a day, and after a month the skin around the eye area will look plumped and smoother. Ingredients include caffeine to decrease inflammation and hyaluronic acid to bind moisture. It also has hexapeptides, proteins that boost the production of collagen and elastin.
Best For: All skin types
Best Facial Cleanser
Aveeno Ultra-Calming Foaming Cleanser ($6.99)
Too often, gentle cleansers are so gentle you don’t feel like your face is getting clean. But this unscented, soap-free foam lifts away dirt and makeup while also treating irritation in dry, sensitive skin with feverfew, a natural calming agent.
Best For: Normal to dry skin
Best Hand Treatment
Carol’s Daughter Lemon Ginger Mint Manicure in a Jar ($10)
The natural butters and oils in this cream are mixed with sea salt to exfoliate dead skin from hands and cuticles while buffing nails at the same time. Beeswax seals in moisture, and peppermint oil leaves a clean, tingly feeling.
Best For: Rough, dry hands

Would appreciate information on “Actyl alcohol”
Is it a harmful ingredient in the facial moisturizing cream.

What do you know about the sunscreen with Mexoryl in it such as LaRoche-Posse’s Anthelios and Vichy?
Are these ingredients available in the regular drugstores?
Are these ingredients available in the regular drustores?
Are these products available in the reugular drugstores?
what do you know about argeriline used as cellulite busters in a product called dr nano
The component oxybenzone, found in Neutrogena Sun Block, is not considered a safe chemical by EWG. This product rates low on the ratings for sunscreens.
does anybody have a recommendation for a 20yr.old who suffers with mild acne who lives a very healthy lifestyle but is plagued with breakouts. currently uses mario badescu due to its stated natural ingredients.
thank you, patti
How does anti-aging moisturizer and cleanser compare to Oil of Olay Definity products
Where can you find the Wexler moisturiser?
Who sponsors this website, and what criteria were used to determine that these are the “best” products?
How do you decide what is best? Nation-wide Mary Kay products are #1 in skin care. Are these other products FDA regulated? I know only three cosmetic companies are and Mary Kay is one of them.
Hey Lisa,
Did you know you can find discounted, quality Elizabeth Arden products at T.J. Max?
Here is my secret beauty tip: Psalm 110:3- ‘In the beauty of holiness from the womb of the morning, I have the dew of my youth.’ Say aloud at least three times a day, until you believe it.
Have you heard about Glimpse? Glimpse is 100% organic, 100% green and I would love to tell you more… go to http://www.luvurskin.net
God’s Blessings!
Patty, I also struggled with mild acne for most of my 20’s & my facialist recommended a gentle glycolic acid face wash + moisturizer (I use MD Formulations for Sensitive Skin face wash–available at Sephora, and Oil of Olay for Sensitive Skin w/ sunscreen moisturizer). I also went for facials once a month for about 6 months but have cut back since it gets pricey. My skin seemed to heal & is looking great. In addition to all this, cutting back on caffeine, not smoking & cutting down on alcohol also made my skin so much clearer & healthier looking.
I am currently using Dr. Weil’s face products and they are wonderful. I have always taken care of my skin and people take me for 10 years younger. I will definitely try Elizabeth Ardens lip cream.
thank you for the information.
Mary Kay does test their products, however bear in mind the FDA does not regulate the body care or skin care industry with the exception of sunscreen and dandruff shampoo as those are considered medicinal. There are no FDA regulations beyond that in place for this industry.
Wexler products can be found at Bath & Body Works. I use the 3-in-1 Eye Cream and Night Cream in that line.
I have sensitive skin and the best thing you can use is Proactive. It is great.
all of these products are store brands,am currently using the vaseline renewal cream.ithink its great.but oil of olay products are my favourite, how does rate among the best?
Check out http://www.cosmeticscop.com
This site has excellent reviews of many cosmetics companies and products.
Does anybody care wether or not any of these products were tested on animals? I have 3 house bunnies that are sweet as can be. I’ve seen video of these supposedly “natural” products being squirt into the eyes of a nailed down rabbit and all the blistering that ensues. If you’re an animal lover and not into animal cruelty, I’d check PeTA’s web site to see who really owns all these companies and what they’re policy is on animal testing. If they were doing this to cats and dogs people would care. Well my bunnies are litter trained and come when called, they are every bit as intelligent and lovable as any cat or dog. Please consider going cruelty-free. Cruelty-free usually means organic and natural and green too. Plus, your skin loves it. :)
Message for patti – I have the same problem and have finally found something that helps, after using every product on the shelf. Neutogena SkinID really worked for me. Unfortunately I live in Hawaii and they do not ship here.
Do your best sunblock from Ultra Sheer save for children? I have info about beauty skin care products in my blog http://www.beautyallaboutbeauty.com/beauty-skin-care-products
